it was a good weekend. the game friday was cancelled, so all we got to do was play the alma matter and pregame. after pregame we marched right off the field and in to the band room. after about a half hour of waiting, we were told that the game would be rescheduled for 1 on saturday afternoon. since we couldnt go back on the field, the seniors all said a little something since it was their last official football game at shs. after all that was over with, a whole bunch of people went to portillos. first time in a while we've been able to go to portillos. its usually closed by the time we're able to get there, but since the game was cancelled, it was only 9. once we finished eating, a group of us went for a walk to see if the dollar store was open. it wasnt, so we decided to see if value city was open. on our way there, we noticed that there was a cop following us. dan and pati drove up, so we stopped to talk to them for a minute, and then this cop pulls up real close to us and yells at us to get off of the property. he wasnt very polite. but then again, he's paid to be an ass and keep those damn hoodlums off of public property. he knows that its always those silly band kids that cause all the problems. i mean, theres a group of druggie and skanky junior high kids that are standing on a street corner, but he doesnt need to tell them to leave. its just the band kids that went for a walk that are dangerous. hehe. since we didnt know where to go, we hung around the portillos parking lot for a while, and eventually ended up on dan's driveway, listening to him make hillarious comments and do some pretty unusal impressions. as dan would say, "its all in the visualization."

the saturday game was quite fun. there werent enough people there for us to perform our show, but we still got to play it. i got to organize one last spirit band for the season, and this game allowed me to let everything out and play from my heart. it was really fun. ill miss all of the seniors when they graduate. it was their last game, and i know they were disappointed to get rained out on friday, but i think it was worth it in the end

today i didnt do anything aside from homework and watching the dci finals on pbs. a small group of bandos and cavie freaks accumulated at jims house to watch. it was great fun. most definately the highlight of my day. and guess who we saw taking pledges for WTTW during the breaks they had...... ms batty!! there she was, our student teacher for band, answering phones for the station! being the bandos that we are, we took out our cell phones and used jims home line to call the number on the screen in hopes that ms batty would answer and we could say hi. we tried calling at the same time so that we'd have more chances of getting her to answer, but we were unsuccessful. it was really fun to try tho. we got so excited about seeing her haha. this is going in the rememeber whens. seeing ms batty, watching the cavies, sitting around and laughing with friends, and listening to dan george whistling in the bathroom was enough to keep me occupied. its always great to spend time with my friends.. and of coarse that one person thats a little more than a friend ;o). hehe
