oh pleeeeeease work this time...

its been so long since i've been able to post. i'm going through blog withdrawl. but then again, its not like ive had much time to post recently anyway. with all of the homework and the stress and the band related things ive had to do recently, i have very little time to write.

IHSA was awesome! we got a perfect score on our quartet. i was so excited when i heard that. it just showed that our hard work payed off. i'm so proud of everyone that went to contest. they all did such a great job! we totally dominated state contest

our last jazz fest went well. i had a good time and we all got 1's. Big PHAT Band was AMAZING!!!!!! i've never heard anything like it in my life. a bunch of us got signatures from various members of the band and we chatted with Gordon Goodwin himself after the concert. he comes up with such wonderful and original music. its no wonder that he has such a talented, fun, and popular band. the lead alto player was like no other. the experince was just incredible. the 4 hour concert with the various college bands and Big PHAT Band was well worth the $17 we had to pay. what a deal!!!

on another note, tomorrow i'm going on a field trip for band. we're going to see Madame Butterfly. hooray for opera! (?). a much BIGGER hooray for missing class!!! woot woot!

the jazz coffeehouse was rockin'!! jazz choir debut!! it was niiiiiiice! i can't wait until next week when we sing again
