i wanna wish you a merry christmas from the bottom of my heart
merry christmas!
after an exciting day of watching parades, eating, giving and opening gifts, eating, watching movies, talking with my family, eating, gaining weight, and spreading as much holiday cheer as possible, i'm home relaxing in a warm sweater and scarf.
christmas this year was wonderful. i watched the disney parade this morning, went to grandma's house to spend the day, watched It's a Wonderful Life on NBC, and came home to talk to as many of my friends as possible and wish them a merry christmas.
we have enough leftovers to last a week. we have enough JUNK food to keep a small army happy for a month. my grandmother's cookies are
h e a v e n l y. ugh, sooo good. i really like the spice cookies that no one else likes, but every cookie that grandma makes is good. then we have cookies i made at andrew's, sam's cookies, cookies i made when i was bored, banana nut bread, stuff we bought for our jewish christmas party... you get the idea. the point is, there's a lot. got a taste for something sweet? come to my house! i'm sure i can find something to satisfy your sweet tooth.
i got lots of wonderful presents this year, but it's not the gifts that matter. it's the thought and the spirit. at any rate, i'll list a few of my favorites:
- dvd player with a surround sound system for my dorm room
- special printer that prints pictures from digital cameras- (a really good one)
- selmer c* mouthpiece
- 2 crazy dancing dolls with saxes that play music while they move when you hit the button. i'll bet i can annoy lots of people with them. yipee!
- awesome perfume
- a flash drive (yes!)
- a gift certificate to express (favorite store)
and even more! i got all kinds of great stuff... and a lot of it. i didn't even ask for anything. i'm really excited about the various soundtracks i got, but as much as i love everything i got, i must say (pathetically enough) that i'm most excited about my new concert mouthpiece. i can't wait to try it out tomorrow!
you know you're a bando when someone gives you a dancing coca-cola bear with a saxophone and the first thing you do is criticize it for not tapping it's feet or moving around in time with the music.
- my family laughed at me for that one.
"oh robin, sometimes we think you love band a little too much."
"why? because i notice that the dancing bear can't keep time?!?!"
i hope all of you got what you wanted this christmas and that it was a day to remember. try and keep the spirit of the season the whole year through! =)
merry christmas you old building and loan!
